BSK students visit Dortmund Germany for football trip
May 4, 2017, 5:07 pm

A group of 14 students from The British School of Kuwait (BSK) departed for Dortmund, Germany to begin their week long football tour with trip organizers, Trans-World Soccer and Bundesliga football club, Borussia Dortmund during the recent term break.   After a long night of travel, the student had a quiet day to rest and recover for their busy week ahead.

The students trained twice daily with Coach Patrick at the state of the art Borussia Dortmund 'Fußballschule', or football school to prepare for their challenge matches against an opposing local school. This world famous club looked after these keen young students very well, providing them with top quality training as well as a healthy lunch and snacks. The training certainly paid off for the BSK boys, when they gave an impressive performance in their second challenge match. Trip leader and teacher, Scott Fusco described the performance as 'significantly improved, in comparison to their first challenge match' and stated that 'we were very unlucky to walk away without a victory'.

As well as playing football, the students also got the chance to tour round the epic 'Signal Iduna Park, home of Borussia Dortmund, where they had the opportunity to go behind the scenes and step foot into the 1st team players dressing room and walk out the tunnel onto the pitch.   A wonderful week of football at one of Europe’s leading clubs for the BSK team. They are looking forward to practice their skills against their peers in the weeks to come.
