BSK hosts its annual Spring Exhibition 2018
April 5, 2018, 2:18 pm

The British School of Kuwait (BSK) recently hosted their annual Spring Exhibition - A Celebration of Art and Design & Technology.  The evening was a huge success and along with the impressive attendance of parents, students and other special guests the school was delighted to welcome the Brazilian Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Norton Rapesta to open the exhibition.

The guests then spent the evening viewing the artworks and talking to teachers, parents and students. Year 10 art students were on hand to discuss their works and were a credit to the school, speaking eloquently about their influences and outcomes.

Jon King, Head of Art and Design at BSK said, “The development of the creative mind from age four to eighteen is a remarkable process and at the British School of Kuwait we are proud to celebrate this fantastic journey. The Exhibition showcased the work of students from Reception to year 13, and along with the Lower and Junior Phases, presented a diverse range of processes including drawings, paintings, ceramics, photographs, sculpture and mixed media”.

Throughout the evening the BSK Brass Quintet entertained guests in the courtyard entrance with a wide selection of music. The exhibition continued during the week and was especially busy during Parent Consultation Days.  A further exhibition of AS Level and GCSE final examination work will be on show in the Gallery in June.
