BSK hosts German Film Night
February 3, 2016, 9:37 am

The British School of Kuwait (BSK) was delighted to welcome over 30 students of German and members of the local German community in Kuwait to its first German Film Club Evening. Students enjoyed watching the animated comedy Monsters University, which was shown in German with English subtitles.

Aimed at younger students from ages 9 to 13, the event was organized to improve the listening skills, consolidate work done in German lessons on descriptions and allow students to take pleasure in listening to spoken German in an informal context.

Many students got into the spirit of the event by dressing up as the cartoon monsters. 12-year old Yara Alkhalaf was awarded first prize and received a German audio book for her efforts.

The British School of Kuwait is privileged to be a Partner School of the German Government and looks forward to hosting further foreign language events in 2016.   The annual Goethe Institute exams will be held at BSK in early February.
