January 29, 2017, 5:48 pm

The Under 15 Girls’ Football Team at The British School of Kuwait (BSK) finished top of the table after round one of the winter school football league, winning all their games.

BSK beat The English Academy 4-0, The New English School 2-1, The English School of Fahaheel 4-1, and The Kuwait English School 1-0.  The girls worked really well together, with an outstanding performance from Shareefa Al-Mesaeed upfront. Shareefa was the top goal scorer of the day, creating many one on one attacks and opening up the other teams’ defenders.

Other goal scorers were Georgia Ainger who scored 3 goals and Siobhan Eagles and Gabriela Pickard scoring 2 each. Mame Diarra Mbacke made some great saves to keep the girls on winning ways, as well as Andrea Dick and Azeezan Al-Azemi putting in important tackles from defense.

Coach Leanne Garvey would like to thank the players for their hard work and dedication to practices, on top of their numerous additional responsibilities. Hoping the rest of the season will be just as successful.
