The British Academy of Sport (BAS) organized for the third time another successful trip to Transylvania, in Romania.  A group of 23 students and 3 teachers enjoyed a fun-filled adventure holiday as part of their Term break.

The 6-day trip started in the Predeal region, which is a beautiful mountain resort especially in the autumn with an altitude of 1600 meters and located very close to Brasov City in Transylvania.

During the trip, the students took part in a range of sporting activities with professional coaches.  These included Horse Riding, Tubing, Luge, Bowling, ATV, Team Building Games, Laser Tag, Hiking, Archery and Swimming at Brasov Paradise Aqua Park and Therme Bucharest, which is the largest relaxation and entertainment center in Europe.

BAS students also enjoyed visits to many of Romania’s unique tourist venues such as Dracula’s Castle where they celebrated the Halloween, Peles Palace, Brasov City, the Volcano and they also travelled 1364 meters to the top of the mountains by Cable Chair in Busteni.

The trips culminated with a surprise when the folk ensemble 'Dor De Munte' was invited to perform traditional dances and songs special for BAS Students.

Another great event was the traditional 'BAS Got Talent Show' where most of the students participated and the Awards Evening where all received medals, certificates and souvenirs of this historic trip to Romania.

In the last day the group was invited to visit the Kuwait Embassy in Bucharest where they met with the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Romania, H.E. Talal Al Hajri, who delivered a short briefing about the Embassy activities and enjoyed a presentation on the trip from Year 7 student Salman Mohammed.

This trip was organized in collaboration with SkySnowSchool from Predeal, Romania and it was sponsored by KIB, Royale Hayat, 4FEST, ABC, ITL World, and Crowne Plaza Hotel.

BAS will organize another Sport Trip in April 2019 in Ireland to Carlingford and Dublin and the BAS students can start to book from now the seats as the places are very limited.

The next important event at BAS will be the 5th Men’s International Basketball Tournament which will take place on Friday, 30 November at BSK and is organized in collaboration with the Romanian Embassy.
