The British Academy of Sports (BAS) organized a successful 5-day sports trip to Barcelona in Spain where 20 students and three coaches enjoyed an array of activities including horse riding, laser tag, bowling and bike tours around the centre of Barcelona, as well as visits to the Olympic Village and the Camp Nou Experience Stadium. Students could feel the true Barca passion as they moved onto the pitch and savoured a panoramic view of this magnificent stadium, the home of the world’s most popular football club, FC Barcelona .
In such a paradise does a football fan's dream come true as they experience just what it is like to be a Barca player. Camp Nou also houses a television studio, the mixed zone, the press room and the commentary boxes all of which were a unique experience for the students and helped them understand why FC.Barcelona is “more than a club”.
The most popular day of the trip was when the children witnessed the football match between F.C Barcelona and SD Elibar (3-1) a magnificent game which was the part of the La Liga competition, and they became the envy of their friends and families as they could see their heroes and favorite players at close quarters for the first time.
The BAS Barcelona Trip was organized by Qatar Airways Holidays and was sponsored by Sports Direct, High Sierra and Easy Tax Back.
The next BAS international trip is planned for Romania in April 2016 and will build on the success of the inaugural trip in 2015.
