Autism conference held at Kuwait Continental Hotel

A conference on ‘New Methods in Treatment of Children with Autism’ was held at Kuwait Continental Hotel. The conference was attended by specialists and professionals in the field of autism. Speaking on the topic, Neurosurgeon Dr. Khalid Abdul Mawjoud warned about the high rate of autism in Kuwait, and around the world which at the moment stands between 1.5 and 2 percent among all newborns.

Dr. Hossam Badr, a specialist in treating autistic children, Dr. Mohammad Sawalima, expert in Bio-Medicine and Mohammad Omar, Autism program and skills development specialist   delivered informative presentations at the conference. Launch of Dolphin Center, the first integrated center for treatment of autistic children in the Middle East was also announced at the conference. 

At the end of the conference, Kamal El-Din Hussein, Director General of Kuwait Continental Hotels Group honored the participants at the seminar and press conference, and thanked them for educating the parents of autistic children with valuable information.
