The Asian Bazaar 2018, held on 27 January at the Palms Beach Hotel & Spa, opened up to visitors the unique heritage and culture of Asian countries. The event witnessed the participation of ten embassies in Kuwait, namely Philippines, Pakistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, China, Cambodia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Indonesia.

Speaking on the occasion, Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Wang-Di lauded the event as a form of cultural exchange that was important to strengthen ties between various countries of the world. Ambassador Wang-Di noted that the exhibition was the first Asian Bazaar in Kuwait held in cooperation with participating embassies and highlighted tourism, culture and businesses of Asia. He added that the exhibition offered a platform for Asian businesses to showcase and promote their products and services in the Kuwaiti market and to connect businessmen, while introducing them to available investment opportunities in Asia.

The bazaar presented visitors with a variety of Asian products such as clothing items, jewelry, wood carvings, figurines and mementos from participating countries. Several stalls offered tasting of traditional Asian cuisine, while many travel agencies promoted various attractions of Asian tourist destinations. Representatives from embassies also interacted with visitors to answer questions on trade and tourism. A few stalls promoted the benefits of studying at universities in participating countries. A cultural dance performance held on the occasion delighted the attendees.
