Arpan Kuwait conducts economic seminar with great speakers

Arpan Kuwait conducted an economic seminar on ‘Your Money, Your Savings’ at the Indian Community School Kuwait (ICSK) Auditorium, Salmiya on 17 Friday.

President KP Suresh presided over the meeting. General Secretary Rafi Padiyath welcomed the audience and speakers. Indian Embassy Commercial attaché Mr. B S Bisht lit the lamp along with Advisory chairman PA Menon and inaugurated the seminar. Ambassador of India to Kuwait H.E. Sunil Jain in a message through B.S. Bisht said, “Arpan’s efforts to educate and give practical directions to people for better living in the current scenario is valuable and commendable.”

KP Suresh said, “Arpan is trying to bring out the experts in Kuwait for them to share their knowledge for the benefit of the common man in an effort to educate the expatriate Indians to understand the money saving and investment methods in view of the current demonetization and recent union budget.”

He affirmed that such free community welfare seminars will be conducted by Arpan in the coming months on such important subjects with expert teams to help Indians improve their life with their children in education, better finance management, healthy living, safety and more.

Vice President Mr. Mahadevan supervised the seminar. Subbaraman Krishnan presented the highlights of Budget 2017 in the first session while the second session was about the investment opportunities. Sanoop Unni described the points of making deposits in the bank and in fixed investments. Devesh Kumar highlighted the possibilities in investing in insurances. Praveen Kumar gave the audience ideas about investing in the stock market. Rajeev Sakhuja expounded on investment in real estate. The third session was handled by Krishna Nagaraj and and stressed the common mistake people make while investing. 

A question and answer session was allowed for the audience to learn about the latest trends in the fields of taxation as well as other new investment opportunities in India.

Presenters were given mementos as token of appreciation from Arpan. Treasurer SP Ganesh gave the vote of thanks.
