The Arab Media Forum General Secretariat has opened special library for Sheikha Suad Al-Sabah's personal books and collections at the forum's headquarters.
During the opening ceremony, held Monday, Arab Media Forum Secretary General Madhi Al-Khamis handed Sheikha Suad the Arab Media Forum's Shield in recognition for her contribution to the Arab literature.
He described her works as "priceless treasures" that have enriched Arab library. He also announced the launching of an annual prize for outstanding young media personalities to be named after Sheikha Suad.
For her part, Sheikha Souad expressed pleasure of this honoring and dedicated it to Kuwait and her family. The honoring once again shows hard work always get rewarded, she said.
The opening ceremony was attended Monday by Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Acting Information Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, Secretary General of the National Council for Culture, Letters and Arts, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information Tareq Al-Mezrem and a plethora of poets, artists, intellectuals and poetry lovers.
