Appeals Court upholds death for Ethiopian maid in sponsor’s kill

The Court of Appeals upheld the ruling of the First Instance Court which sentenced an Ethiopian housemaid to death for murdering a Kuwaiti woman identified as Siham Hamoud Fuleitah. Case files indicate the housemaid admitted the crime saying she planned to kill her employer once she had a chance to do so. She then stabbed Siham to death while the latter was sleeping. After stabbing the victim several times, the maid surrendered to police.

Suicide committed

An unidentified Indian woman allegedly ended her life by hanging herself inside a room in Hawally by tying one end of the rope to the ceiling fan and the other around her neck, reports Al-Rai daily. The death was reported to the police by a compatriot. The remains of the woman have been referred to Forensics. A case has been registered at the area police station.

Indian in suicide bid

An unidentified Indian who attempted to end his life by cutting his veins with a blade has been admitted to the intensive care unit of the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital, reports Al-Rai daily.
