Amazing Dances of India competition captivates audiences

The Embassy of India organized an Inter-School cultural dance competition titled 'Amazing Dances of India’ in its auditorium on Saturday, 8 November 2014 exclusively for ladies.  Children from sixteen Indian Schools took part in the event which showcased various forms of arts and dances of India.

Under the theme ‘Incredible India - a Journey through States’, the children presented the ethnic dances forms of various states across the country. Besides the 'Splendid Journey through the States' event, an Indian Bazaar with stalls was also set up to display various types of manuscripts, embroidery, handicrafts, paintings, costumes and mouth-watering Indian cuisine.

A large number of foreign guests including Kuwaiti ladies and wife’s of diplomats of other countries attended the event which was well coordinated by Dr. (Mrs.) Gargi Jain, Wife of Ambassador of India to Kuwait.

Students from Indian Community School Kuwait Junior Branch, Khaitan Branch, Senior Branch and Amman Branch, Fahaheel Al Watanieh Indian Pvt School (DPS), United Indian School, Kuwait Indian School, Indian Educational School (Bhavans), Salmiya Indian Model School, Carmel School, Gulf Indian School, Jabriya Indian School, Integrated Indian School, Indian Central School, India International School and Indian Public School participated in the event.
