Alyasra fashion introduced the newly refurbished marella store at second avenue, the avenues, and simultaneously debuted the spring/summer 2016 collection. The new design of the store reflects the romanticism and femininity of the brand and is more contemporary and personal, offering customers a more secluded space to try on their favourite pieces.
Marella’s new collection celebrates summer 2016 without falling into banality. Clothes express lightness, vitality and energy, like the season to which they are dedicated, without losing the practicality and functionality of the brand. They are thought for an urban traveller, a woman who chooses travelling not just as an escape from reality, but also as an experience and constant reference for her daily life. Clothes have ethnic graphics, while spicy orange brings colour into black and white patterns.
Everything follows vaguely 70s shapes, but denim withdraws any exotic vibe. The silhouettes evoke a journey: kimono jacquard jackets or clean-cut blouses match fluid pants and maxi vests, creating a new idea of the suit in neutral hues, light as bamboo.
Travellers love dreaming and their romantic mood is perfectly injected in the collection with lacey dresses and tulle midi skirts that pair with active garments like the parka. Layering is unexpected with prints too: polka dots and stripes, small and big, alternating on cotton and crêpe de chine, on knitwear and trench. As the summer heat gets closer, the navy style gets revamped: sailor stripes are triumphant and unique, while the range of blues add personality and originality.
The collection is blooming, as flowers get bigger and colours get softer with choices of grey, ivory and bamboo for the shirt dress, a maxi skirt and a silk vôile top. The seventies vibe is still strong with jumpsuits and wrap jersey dresses, but the party style is very sixties with fit’n’flare silhouettes for flirty dresses in jacquard, duchess and georgette in sorbet colours: anise, lemon cream, pink grapefruit, lime, raspberry.

A seasonless fabric and a collection that adds new silhouettes and details every six months. For spring summer 2016, cuts are sharper and more contemporary and details get noticed. An example? The maxi shirt dress with sheer details featured in the advertising campaign.
Marella be smart
It doesn’t crease and you wash it at home - the be smart collection is so friendly that you can’t do without it. That’s why every season a pattern or a new item is added. It all started with a jacket, and now includes a boxy blouse, a pencil skirt and a waist-cut dress, in white, black, baby blue and pink.
The seventies are still a destination, but the collection absorbs chic details and the style stays sporty. Flare denim pants are paired with a yellow duchess techno-cape and light down jacket. The tapestry prints upgrade the elegance of the sporty coat.
Cover-ups do the talking in the first part of the collection with an embroidered wind jacket, the leather or black and white wicker jacket, the jacquard cardi-coat, the khaki safari jacket matched with cropped pants, the sweatshirt-dress, the lace culotte pants or a denim total look. White, black and denim dictate the colour guide of the whole collection, but purely summer shades like watermelon, sunflower and ultramarine blue brighten the summer selection of the collection with stripes, gingham and flowers on a-line dresses, shorts and blouses.
