500,000 students set to resume classes after 2-wk Spring break
Nearly 500,000 students will resume their classes on Monday, after the two-week spring holidays, reports Al-Jarida daily. Ministry of Education’s Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education Dr Khalid Al-Rashid has affirmed that all schools are ready for the beginning of the second term. He said the Public Education Department held many meetings with officials of the educational districts to follow up issues concerning the administrative and educational staff in schools to guarantee smooth flow of work procedures. He confirmed the ministry will provide the required books for the second term and they will be distributed to the students on Monday.
Meanwhile, Director General of the Capital Educational District Naji Al-Zamel highlighted the important role played by parents in the educational process which is not limited only to the school. He asked them to cooperate with the administration of the schools and teachers to ensure a better future for students. In addition, directors of Farwaniya Mubarak educational districts Badriya Al-Khaldi and Talq Al-Heim also confirmed the readiness of all their departments for the beginning of the second term.
Al-Khaldi added that all departments of Farwaniya Educational District will work towards removing any obstacle to serve the students and improve their educational levels, while Al-Heim asserted the educational supervision departments in Mubarak Al- Kabeer are working with the Educational Affairs Department to fill the gaps and make the required transfers while taking into consideration what is beneficial for the work flow.
