India’s national carrier Air India plans to resume operations from the south Indian city of Mangalore to Kuwait. Air India Express, Air India’s low-cost carrier, cancelled operations to Mangalore last year due to a lack of leased aircraft but are hoping to restart its winter schedule this October.

“Air India Express is on track to reintroduce our schedule from Kuwait to Mangalore operating three weekly flights, most likely from October 27, 2014,” an Air India official confirmed on condition of anonymity.

The scheduled times of the flight are not yet confirmed but the Times of Indian reported that it will travel from Mangalore to Kuwait on Monday, Wednesday and Friday departing from Mangalore at 7.30am and reaching Kuwait via Bahrain at 11.15am (local time) and the return flight is expected to be a non stop flight, leaving Kuwait at 12.15pm local time and arrive at Mangalore at 7.25 hours IST.
