“Air India Fest” took off its ‘flight of  fun  and games’ with  wholesome entertainment  to Frontline staff of various Travel Agencies of Kuwait and officials from Kuwait Airport at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Kuwait on May 11. The function was attended by over 300 persons.

Included in the program were various games, quiz, music and dance with many prizes to be won, that included prizes for the events as well as spot prizes and raffles. The hall wore a festive look all the more with the sea of straw hats which were handed over to all guests at the entrance.

Ajay Sinha, Country Manager for Air India Kuwait, highlighted that the fest was organized to show Air India’s appreciation to travel agents for their contribution in making Air India a success in Kuwait. “We thought of sharing our success story with the travel agents,” he said. “Many players have come and gone, but India’s national carrier continues to maintain its position in Kuwait’s market since the time Air India commenced its operation to Kuwait in the year 1960”. “Air India in Kuwait is doing very well. Overall also, the financial results of 2012-13 show very positive trends, with revenues going up by 7.3% overall and a robust 21.9% in domestic network. Passenger load factors as well as yields have improved appreciably. In 2012-13, Air India ended with an EBIDTA (Earnings before interest depreciation taxes and amortization) positive to the tune of Rs. 19.45 Crores”, he added.

All the winners walked away with a host of exciting prizes including air tickets from Air India and other gifts from Lu&Lu, Gulfmart, Mughal Mahal Restaurant, Winners Restaurant, Crowne Plaza and Wataniya Telecom. The mega raffle was won by Mr. Lakshmi Prahalad of  Bahman Tours and Travels. The evening ended with a sumptuous dinner.
