ASSE Kuwait chapter conducts training seminar on Process Safety Management

American Society of Safety Engineers, (ASSE) Kuwait Chapter, a non-profit organization conducted a training seminar on “Process Safety Management” on 5 August, at Kohinoor Banquet Hall, Fahaheel. The trainer for the session was Sanjay Jaiswal. The event was attended by 38 members.

C Rama Krushna Chary, President of ASSE Kuwait chapter welcomed the participants. He briefed about the significance of the training seminar and the importance of conducting such seminars for the benefit of ASSE members.

Sony Thomas CSP, Head of Training Committee, in his brief address, congratulated the participants for their interest to learn and updating their knowledge and introduced the trainer.

Mr. Jaiswal, is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, USA and holds B.E. in Fire Engineering from Nagpur University India. He is presently working in Kuwait Oil Company as Safety Specialist. He carries more than 25 years’ experience in downstream and midstream Oil & Gas industry. His specific skill areas include, but not limited to the development and implementation of HSE Management System, HSE Studies, Auditing and Inspections, Risk Assessment and Loss prevention, Accident investigations, Process Safety Management and Contractor HSE management and more.

The training seminar was meticulously carried on by the trainer and effectively communicated citing relevant industrial scenarios and case studies. He elaborated the elements of PSM , measures to improve process integrity, measures of HSE performance in process industry, hazard identification/Risk assessment studies, implementation of safe work practise and emergency response plan with power point presentation and audio and visual demonstrations.

The program turned out to be very advantageous to all the members particularly to the safety Officers and Engineers from Petrochemical industries.

Mr. Thomas thanked Mr. Jaiswal for this initiative. The session concluded with the distribution of Participation Certificates to the participants.
