ASSE Kuwait Chapter organizes the third session of Contractor Safety Month 2016

American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Kuwait Chapter is Kuwait’s premier voluntary & non-profit organization providing professional guidance, training and consultancy; in the field of Health, Safety and Environment; to the industrial and social sectors in the region.

Continuing its constant efforts towards social responsibility and commitment, American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), Kuwait Chapter, in collaboration with Kuwait Oil Company organised Third session of the Contactor Safety Month 2016. The event was conducted at KOC Hubara Assembly Hall at Ahmadi Township.

The event started with a safety moment and welcome address by Sunil Sadanand, Chapter Treasurer & Acting Serretary. In his opening address CH. Rama Krushna Chary, President ASSE Kuwait chapter, informed that the chapter is organizing the Contractor Safety month for the benefit of contractors in state of Kuwait who are exposed to various safety risks. He mentioned that these technical meet events are open to everyone, so that the contactors who have a major role in industrial sector are updated to the best HSE practices and latest technologies in the personal protective equipment.

Ashok Garlapati, Advisory Committee Member of ASSE Kuwait Chapter, in his speech spelled the importance of the days topic which is covering the importance parts of the body Eye & Head.

Brett Horter, Sales & Marketing Manager, MENA Region & India, UVEX explained the topic “ Eye wear & Hearing Protection in detail.

Muhammad Aalamgir Vice President of ASSE Kuwait Chapter, in his closing address acknowledged the support of Kuwait Oil Company to ASSE Kuwait chapter in conducting these events. He also thanked the Speakers and the sponsors M/s Raja Company for the presentations. He appreciated the Technical Event Committee Head Adnan Yousaf and his Team for Successful event and thanks to all the participants who shows presence in event to enrich their knowledge. Around 150 persons from different sectors participated in this event.  As a token of appreciation, speakers were presented with a memento. Certificate of participation was distributed to all the participants.
