ASSE Kuwait Chapter conducts Technical Meet on Road map to Global HSE Certifications

American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), Kuwait Chapter is a premier voluntary, non-profit Health, Safety and Environmental organization, which strives to provide professional guidance, training, consultancy and resources to the industrial and social sectors in the region.

As a part of continuous efforts in its professional journey, ASSE-Kuwait Chapter organized its 211th Technical Meet (1st in the term 2016-17) on” Road map to Global HSE Certifications (ASP/CSP and QEP)” in Kohinoor Banquet hall, Fahaheel Kuwait on 25 July 2016.

The Technical Meet began with the opening remarks by Mr. Sanjay Jaiswal, Chapter Secretary. Mr. CH. Rama Krushna Chary, President ASSE Kuwait Chapter in his welcome address emphasized the importance of attending such technical meets by ASSE Members. Mr. Sanjay Jaiswal introduced the speakers for the day Mr. Ujwal Ritwik & Mr. Ashok Garlapati

Mr. Ujwal Ritwik, QEP, Working as Senior Specialist (TPL) in Kuwait National Petroleum Company, Founding President of ASSE Kuwait Chapter, headed Professional Development Conference from 2000 to 2011 and currently he is volunteering as Advisory Committee member of ASSE Kuwait Chapter.

Mr. Ashok Garlapati, CSP, Working as HSE Consultant (D&T) in Kuwait Oil Company, is Vice President - Global Region of ASSE USA. He Held key positions in ASSE Kuwait Chapter, has been ASSE Ambassador for Middle East, India & SE Asia, Past Administrator, ASSE- IPS, USA. He is past President of ASSE Kuwait Chapter and currently Advisory Committee member of ASSE Kuwait Chapter.

Both the presenters have given an extensive information on the certification route, advantage, mode of preparation and ways to apply for each credential. Attendees eagerly took part in the discussion, participated in Question, and Answer session.

As an honor of appreciation, ASSE Kuwait Elected Committee honored both the speakers for their excellent presentation with memento.
