ASSE Kuwait Chapter conducts Technical Meet on EQUATE Behavior Based Program

American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), Kuwait Chapter is a premier voluntary, Non-profit Health, Safety and Environmental organization, which strives to provide professional guidance, training, consultancy and resources to the industrial and social sectors in the region. As a part of continuous efforts in its professional journey, ASSE-Kuwait Chapter organized its 218th Technical Meet (8th in the term 2016-17) on 'EQUATE Behavior Based Program Process' in Hotel Safir, Fintas on 23 January.

The Technical Meet began with the opening address by Sunil N Sadanandan, Chapter Treasurer, briefed about upcoming ASSE GCC HSE Excellence Award 2017.  Ali Al-Kshawe, Manager HSE, Kuwait National Petroleum Company & Advisory Committee member of ASSE Kuwait Chapter launched the website of Award Program ( In the welcome address, Mr. Ali Al-Kshawe emphasized the importance of attending such technical events to enhance knowledge of ASSE Members. Mr. Adnan Yousef, Head of Technical Events Committee introduced the speaker for the Tech event Mr. Rajasekar Jayanandan who carries 18 years experience in Safety field, Oil and Gas Sector. He has Bachelor of Engineering in Fire Engineering and CSP credential. He is currently working in EQUATE as Safety Engineer.

Mr. Rajasekar in his presentation explained the Equate’s Behavior Base Process (BBP) in detail like what is BBP, why BBP, E-Tool for BBP, Types of form used in BBP, Implementation plans and the promotional tools - Best Observations and Recognitions.  Attendees have actively participated in the technical session and found it interesting. The presentation was followed by Question and Answer session.

As an Honor of Appreciation, ASSE Kuwait chapters Core Committee along with Mr. Ali Al-Kshawe, Manager, HSE, KNPC honored the speaker Mr. Rajasekar with a memento for his excellent and skillful presentation.

Technical Meet concluded with close out speech of  Mr. Muhammad Alamgir, Vice-President of ASSE Kuwait Chapter who thanked Mr. Rajasekar for giving an insight on the topic. He thanked the Technical Events committee for the arrangements and all the participants, who attended the technical meet.
