American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Kuwait Chapter, a voluntary non-profit organization providing professional guidance, training and consultancy in the field of Health, Safety and Environment to the industrial and social sectors of the region organized a training program in coordination with TUV Nord Middle East.
The training program, ‘Authorized Gas Tester’ was held on 8 July at Kohinoor Banquet Hall, Fahaheel.
The gas tester role is critical to ensure safe working conditions in permit controlled confined space or for hot work activities. This is one of the most needed training by oil and gas companies around the world. It was carried out through a 3rd party agency which is approved by many companies in Kuwait and in Middle East.
The chapter Vice president, Muhammed Alamgir, inaugurated the program and introduced Mohamed Maher Abd-Elrahman Eltemamy, the trainer for the session. Mr. Eltemamy, an authorized trainer, has a Bachelor’s in Chemistry and possess many international certification in various HSE training and consulting.
The proved helpful for the safety professionals, especially those in oil and gas industries. Participants who emerged successful were presented with certificates and pocket cards. Twenty seven ASSE Members utilized this distinct opportunity and benefited from the program.
ASSE Kuwait Chapter plans aims to help benefit the society and its members by conducting such trainings in future.
