350,207 arrive, 565,722 leave in July

Director General of the Airport Security General Department Major General Faisal Al-Sinin has affirmed success of coordination between the bodies working at the department, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and Customs General Department in easing the movement of passengers from 1-31 July, during which the number of arriving passengers reached 350,207 while the departures totaled 565,722.

According to Al-Sinin, the number of passengers for July totaled 915,929; including the departure and arrival of 337,884 citizens; 48,810 GCC nationals and 246,635 other nationalities. He added the Passports Department at Kuwait International Airport completed 69 transactions related to fingerprinting for deportation, detection of 74 forged documents leading to the arrest of the holders at the airport, discovery of 21 people who intended to travel using the passports of others, 704 transactions for people removed from the list of those banned from traveling, and arrest of 78 people who were referred to the concerned authorities for various violations.
