The General Department for Weapons Investigation in the Interior Ministry carried out a campaign in Subiya and the adjacent areas early morning Friday, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The campaign resulted in the arrest of five persons found to have violated the law and a citizen accused of possessing unlicensed weapons in Rumaithiya.
In a press statement Saturday, the Public Relations and Security Media Department confirmed the arrest of two individuals found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, and three others who defied security instructions and drove opposite the traffic direction. The department also affirmed the arrest of a citizen for the possession of two unlicensed guns and ammunition.
This came after the General Department for Weapons Investigation received information about the citizen that he owns unlicensed weapons. The department obtained a warrant and then went to the house of the citizen where they discovered two unlicensed guns and ammunition.
