The Drug Control General Department registered 14 cases of trading in drugs and brain stimulants and arrested several people from April 13-26, 2016.
In a press statement and department disclosed that those arrested included a citizen, seven Egyptians, six Indians, three Bedouns, a Sri Lankan, a Jordanian, a Bangladeshi, two Nepalese and two Filipinos found to be involved in drug-related cases. The department also confiscated 1.1 kilograms of crystal meth, 1.5 kilograms of marijuana, 750 grams of hashish, 70 grams of heroin and 3,010 Tramadol pills.
All those arrested, along with the confiscated drugs, were referred to the concerned security body for the necessary legal measures, whereas 20 expatriates of various nationalities were deported.
The department received 11 drug addiction cases that were referred to the Psychiatric Hospital.
