11 citizens, expats arrested for insulting late Saudi King

State security arrested 11 citizens and expats for tweets insulting the late Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. A security source said the expats will be deported, while the citizens will be detained. He said state security is monitoring insults on Twitter, and all those involved will be arrested.

Several persons injured in a fight

Several persons were injured in a fight in which 30 persons were involved. The fight was behind and inside the military hospital in Subhan. Detectives are investigating to find the cause of the fight and arrest those involved. A security source said that several persons were injured, including one person from the ruling family.

Gang busted

Jahra security men busted five Asian and Arab gangs made up of 20 expats who stole wood, manhole covers and steel and copper from houses that are under construction. They were all referred for deportation. In another development, Farwaniya detectives found heroin, shabu and narcotic pills in the parking lot of a cooperative. The stash was spotted during a routine patrol in Farwaiya. Investigations indicate that a drugs pusher left it for a user in that area.
