A would-be thief in Kuwait City has begged for mercy after he was overpowered by his targeted victim and his robbery attempt failed.
“Forgive me, I did not mean to do it,” the would-be thief pleaded as his victim held him and waited for the police. “Please let me go away.”
The would-be victim, a Kuwaiti national, was heading towards his car after he left a shopping complex in the bustling Salmiya area in the capital Kuwait City. However, he was attacked by a man who ordered him to hand over all the money he had with him, Kuwaiti daily Al Rai reported on Wednesday.
The Kuwaiti man overpowered the would-be thief and held him, refusing to allow him to flee the scene. A police patrol, was dispatched to take over, referred the would-be thief to the police station in Salmiya.
He will be most likely charged with assault and attempt to steal, a security source told the daily. There was no mention of the attacker’s nationality or age.
