SIS highlights World’s heritage through Fancy Dress
December 18, 2017, 2:23 pm

To ignite the inner sparkle, Smart Indian School (SIS) organized a Fancy Dress Competition for Grade 1 on 11 and 12 December in the school auditorium. The students dressed in costumes under the theme 'Traditional costumes around the world or the regional costumes of India' to explore different cultures and traditions.

Selecting costumes from the diverse nations of the world and the states in India, students recreated vibrant traditional outfits and explained details about them with charisma and confidence. Some of the highlights among the brilliant costumes of the day were Sri Lankan Bride, Chinese Hanfu and from Egypt as well.

The clothing heritage of India is varied across the states like Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Punjab, Kashmir and many others to mark the day as memorable. There was an appreciation for the time taken by the students to recreate the costumes and present them on stage. The best costumes were awarded prizes during the award ceremony graced by Principal and Vice-Principal.
