April 25, 2018, 8:44 am

A 1981-born Indian expatriate was arrested for consuming liquor and climbing a traffic signal post in Abdullah Al-Mubarak Street near Shamlan roundabout.

According to security sources, a passerby notified the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior about the incident. Immediately, a security team was dispatched to the location. While convincing him to climb down the signal post, the expatriate kept saying, “There is no point in living”.

Eventually, securitymen managed to convince him to climb down, and they realized he was under the influence of liquor. He was taken to the police station of the area when cases of destruction of state property and consumption of liquor were filed against him.
