The (Kafoo) project seeks to shed light on young Kuwaiti talents and their achievements through the project's internet site, said Information Minister Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah on Tuesday.
The project's objective is to facilitate the search process for young potentials and their CVs in order to exchange expertise and take these talents to the international level, said Sheikh Salman; also Minister of State for Youth Affairs, in the press conference marking the launch of 'Kafoo'; the Arabic word for reliable.
He also pointed to Kuwait's recent quantum leap from the 110th spot to the 56th in the Commonwealth's Global Youth Development Index within three years' time, out of 183 countries.
On his part, head of the project's supervising committee, Amiri diwan advisor Dr. Youssef Al-Ibrahim said the project was an outcome of the (Kuwait Listens) initiative.
He added that the project would allow the public and concerned entities to be familiar with those "achieved and young jewels." Al-Ibrahim said that initially, the project is focusing on six communities; human, scientific and technological, media, sport, culture, food and beverages.
