Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait’s idyllic resort, has been certified by Green Globe, the global certification for sustainable tourism, for the second consecutive year. Following an inspection process, the luxurious landmark’s sustainability management plan met all international standards for sustainable practices.
In-line with the hotel’s dedication to sustainability practices, Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa has successfully and consistently practiced energy and water conservation, reduced electricity consumption, and implemented many eco-friendly initiatives for the wellbeing and safety of its guests and Kuwait community.
General Manager, Hakan Petek, said: “Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa is committed to improve the environment and the quality of the wellbeing of our community. It is an honor to be awarded once again for these achievements, which would not be possible without the hard work and persistent dedication of our colleagues. It is truly a testament to their continuous pursuit for excellence in delivering exceptional services.”
Working hand-in-hand, colleagues have worked continuously to raise environmental awareness and uphold eco-friendly practices across all aspects of the hotel, as well as through the Corporate Social Responsibility practices and initiatives that the hotel and its colleagues engage in.
Commenting on the hotel’s achievements, Carol Roncoletta, Director of PR & Communications and a member of the hotel’s Green Committee, added: “Since opening in 2013 we have organized several initiatives with the objective to make a positive contribution to the local community and the environment. We have covered social and charitable activities; we have invested in environmental initiatives and actively promoted the rich heritage of Kuwait and its traditions. The key to our success is our guests and colleagues. We remain committed to raise awareness through our initiatives in the coming years and deliver our promise, Stay DifferentTM.”
Further recognizing its eco-friendly practices, the hotel has also won this year the titles of Eco Luxury Hotel of the Middle East as well as Luxury Hotel of Kuwait at the Luxury Lifestyle Awards, the international coveted award for the luxury segment.
