An Indian couple was arrested by officers from the Residence Affairs Department for running a fake company for hiring nurses, reports Arab Times citing Al-Rai daily.
A security source said the Indians put advertisements to hire nurses in return for sums ranging from KD 300 to KD 500.
The nurses provided services to aged Kuwaitis, while some of them accompanied patients to Al-Sabah hospital.
Acting on information and guarded by warrant from the public prosecution, securitymen arrested some 15 nurses accompanying patients to Al-Sabah hospital, and referred them to concerned authorities when they turned out to be absconders working for the Indian couple.
The couple was arrested upon information provided by the nurses.
