IKARA – Theatrical Performance by Hooda Shawa

Performing at the Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Centre from 19 -22 February 2017 at 8:00pm. 

A story of mythology, love and mystery from Ancient Greece to Failaka Island in the Arabian Gulf…. A tale of love versus duty, Ikara is set on the enchanted Island of Ikaros (Ancient Failaka). Produced by writer Hooda Shawa and directed by Alison Shan Price MBE, allow our cast of actors, dancers and chorus to transport you to the mystery and mythology of Failaka island in ancient times.

IKARA is the first local production to be performed at the Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Centre. Spoken in the Arabic language, it is universally understandable to all audience members.
