‘Baku Chamber Orchestra’ to perform in Kuwait

On the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the establishment of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in 1918, the Azerbaijan Embassy in cooperation with the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) is hosting a concert featuring ‘Baku Chamber Orchestra’ on Sunday, 13 May at 8:00 pm at Abdulhussain Abdulredha Theater, Salmiya.

All are invited to this Azerbaijan musical performance centered on the ‘Baku Chamber Orchestra’- the Youth Chamber Orchestra of Baku Music Academy, named after Uzeyir Hajibayli, and started in 2011. The Orchestra’s Artistic leader is People’s Artist of the USSR and Azerbaijan, the Rector of the BMA, professor Farhad Badalbeyli, its conductor – the honored Artist Fuad Ibrahimov and its director – the BMA’s International Relations Vice-Rector, People’ Artist, professor Yegana Akhundova. Members of the Orchestra are both the young winners of many international contests and other talented performers.

The ‘Baku Chamber Orchestra’ have performed in many cultural programs such as the ‘Caucasian Culture Days’ in the French city of Bordeaux on ‘Theater Femina’ stage, and at the international festival ‘Silk and Fire’ in the French city of Mulhouse with the joint support of the Haydar Aliyev Foundation, Baku Music Academy and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Baku Chamber Orchestra is part of Germany’s Neue Philharmonie Munchen Orchestra with their chief conductor of Fuad Ibrahimov and has been giving combined concerts in the cities of Germany – Wolfratshausen, Munchen, Furstenfeldburck and more.

The Orchestra was accorded a number of awards for its many successful performances.
