ASSE Kuwait Chapter conducts training seminar on Hazardous Area Classification & Protection

Adding on to its illustrious pathways of educating and empowering its members, American Society of Safety Engineers, (ASSE) Kuwait Chapter conducted a training seminar on ‘Hazardous Area Classification & Protection’ on 22 July, at Kohinoor Banquet Hall, Fahaheel. The trainer for the session was Santhosh Kumar. Around 13 members attended this program. 

ASSE- Kuwait Chapter is a leading non- profit organization which always strives to excel in providing quality trainings and consultation in the field of Health Safety and Environment all across different public and private sectors in Kuwait.

Sanjay Jaiswal, Secretary of ASSE Kuwait chapter welcomed the participants. He briefed about the significance of the training seminar and the importance of conducting such seminars for the benefit of ASSE members. Rama Krushna Chary, President of ASSE Kuwait chapter, in his brief address, congratulated the participants for their interest to learn and updating their knowledge and introduced the trainer Santhosh Kumar.

Mr. Kumar; a Mechanical Engineer; has over 20 years of industrial experience in HSEQ Management System in a wide industrial spectrum in Middle East and India. He holds Lead Auditor & Lead Tutor certification in QMS, EMS and OHSMS; Santhosh has provided consultancy to more than 100 professional organizations in Gulf Countries to establish the Integrated Management System. Mr. Santhosh also has the credit of training employees from over 100 organizations.

The training seminar was meticulously carried on by the trainer and effectively communicated citing relevant industrial scenarios and case studies. He elaborated Hazardous Area Classification Overview, NEC & IEC Standards, Temperature Classification & Types of Electrical Protections with power point presentation and audio & visual demonstrations.

The program turned out to be very good for all the members, particularly to the safety Officers and Engineers from Petrochemical industries

Sony Thomas, Head of training committee, thanked the speaker Mr. Kumar for this initiative. The session concluded with the distribution of Participation Certificates to the participants.

ASSE Kuwait Chapter would continue its strive to do their best for the progress of the society and its members in particular, by organizing such important and remarkable events in future too.
