MPs Saleh Ashour and Khalil Al-Saleh have presented a proposal to send women on retirement after 20 years of service, irrespective of their age, reports Al-Shahid daily.

The amended social insurance law by the two MPs cancels the terms and conditions related to social status of the female employee such as marriage, divorce, children and age, indicating women can retire after 20 years of service regardless of their age.

Meanwhile, Civil Service Committee (CSC) approved during a recent meeting the new structure of small and medium enterprises fund, without discussing the financial privileges of the employees and leaders, reports Al-Anba daily.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly Petitions and Complaints Committee discussed the grievances of the employees of Information Ministry, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.

Rapporteur of the committee MP Ahmad Al-Azmi said the committee tackled several complaints presented by the workers naming injustices in the assessment records that deprive them of promotion to supervisory positions, stressing the workers are generally rated below excellent and left without promotion.
