Brazil's football boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has joked that he will flee the country for Kuwait if his side don't win the World Cup this summer.
The Selecao had the ideal build up for the Fifa tournament when they lifted the Confederations Cup on home soil in 2013.
Scolari, who guided Brazil to World Cup success 12 years ago, hopes to repeat the feat this year and believes his squad are prepared for any opponent.
"If I lose the World Cup, I'd be ready to go to Kuwait to seek political asylum," the former Portugal and Chelsea boss told reporters.
"We respect our opponents, but we are ready to win the World Cup."
Brazil have been drawn with Mexico, Croatia and Cameroon in Group A of the World Cup and will be aiming to better 2010's quarter-final exit to Netherlands.
