About 40 percent of the positions occupied by Kuwaiti employees in the private sector are fake, while around KD 10 million is being paid on a monthly basis to these employees, reports Al- Jaridah daily quoting reliable sources from Government Manpower Restructuring Program (GMRP).

They affirmed that GMRP will conduct inspection campaigns in the private companies that falsely employ Kuwaiti citizens for extorting state money, and take necessary legal measures against them, adding that GMRP took such decisions after its Inspection Department was recently instructed to combat this phenomenon.

They explained that the department coordinated with some concerned authorities in the country to list the companies that are involved in falsely employing Kuwaiti citizens in order to obtain part of the salary that they receive from the government.

Sources revealed that the commercial files of those companies, which are proven to be involved in this phenomenon, will be closed and the owners of those companies will have to refund all the money that GMPR paid the Kuwaiti employees of the companies.
