“Coloring the Past”

“Coloring The Past” is an exhibition and lecture at CAP (Contemporary Art Platform) which is co-hosted by the US Embassy, under the patronage of Ambassador Matthew H. Tueller. The exhibition is opening on October 6 at 7 pm. Artists, Kate Seelye and Ammanda Salzman, are exhibiting 19 artworks which illustrate their family’s rich past in the Middle East, in addition to a video with footage of their family in Kuwait and elsewhere in the 50s. In addition, there will be a talk on October 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, where they will share the history of their family’s rich past, and discuss the methods and inspirations of their work. There will be also be a screening of the archival photo slides that will explore the family’s journey through the region, specifically Kuwait.
