Senior officials in the Ministry of Interior have given instructions to intensify security measures and supervision of information concerning the Yemeni community in Kuwait; especially in certain places like Riq’ee, Ardiya and some areas in Ahmadi Governorate where there is a big number of Yemenis who support the Houthis, reports a local daily quoting sources.
Sources revealed the instructions include taking procedures immediately once a violation is uncovered and administrative deportation for those who engage in protest actions. Sources confirmed the ministry has, so far, not observed any expression of objection to the participation of Kuwait in the Saudi-led ‘Determination Storm Operation’.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior has temporarily suspended photocopying, printing and translation services in the sectors of visitors’ transactions, advising the visitors to seek the assistance of printing centers in cooperative societies and other offices. The ministry said in a press statement that the suspension of such services is in line with the recommendation of the State Audit Bureau and other surveillance bodies, stressing at the same time its keenness on removing obstacles to the processing of transactions.
It has called on visitors to avail of such services at symbolic prices in cooperative societies and commercial complexes. The ministry will announce reactivating of such centers in all sectors again once they are approved by the surveillance systems.
